Meet Jackie
Founder of McLaughlin Creatives
Jackie McLaughlin, a Medford, Massachusetts native, has long been driven by a passion for creativity and effective communication. Her early interests in the arts and theater led her to pursue a degree in Political Science at Stonehill College, complemented by minors in Communications and Gender Studies.
A self-taught graphic designer from a young age, Jackie began creating business cards at just eight years old. She has since applied her skills in various professional settings, including her role as Communications Associate for Mayor Brian Arrigo of Revere. There, she focused on translation and community engagement, ensuring residents were well-informed during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was there she also helped assist many young candidates for office with campaign graphic materials.
In 2022, Jackie joined the Bitch Book Club as a Social Media Manager, where she developed design strategies and campaigns to enhance the organization’s branding objectives. Her journey continued in 2023 when she assumed the role of Communications Manager at Now + There, a Boston-based public art non-profit. Following a significant brand redesign, the organization rebranded as the Boston Public Art Triennial, with plans to launch Boston's first public art triennial in May 2025.
In addition to her full-time role, Jackie maintains a freelance relationship with the Bad Bitch Book Club, where she creates merchandise and retreat materials for upcoming events. Jackie remains based in Medford, Massachusetts, where she continues to blend her expertise in design and strategic communication.
